  • What does the advertised Canady Builders price include?

    The price of the house includes everything from the foundation to all mechanicals, painting and trim work. The homes are "move in" ready including appliance hookups. Canady Builders does not include the price of the land or "Owner Responsibilities" in the listed prices. (See "Owner Responsibilities" below.)


  • How long does it take Canady Builders to build a home?

    Our average build time from digging the footing to completing the walk thru for the customer is approximately 3 to 5 months depending upon the size and complexity of your home.


  • Where are Canady Builders model homes located and when are the models open?

    Contact your sales representative to schedule a time to view a home.


  • What options and upgrades does Canady Builders offer?

    Our customers can choose from many options and upgrades. Contact your sales representative to schedule an appointment to build your personal price quote.


  • Are there any hidden costs (i.e. transportation, drawing plans, etc. )?

    No, there are no hidden costs. All costs for transportation, drawing plans, etc. are included in the cost of the house.


  • How do I finance building my own home?

    A Canady Builders sales consultant can assist you in obtaining a Construction/Perm Loan. This type of loan allows you to roll the cost of the land, site work, and house into one loan with one closing, saving you both time and money. Canady Builders have established relationships with several lending institutions and would be happy to help find the one that suits your needs. You do have the option use any lender you choose.


  • What type of warranty do you provide?
    Canady Builders, Inc. provides a 10-year Homeowner's Warranty. This includes 10-year structural and 1-year workmanship coverage. For your convenience, Canady Builders, Inc. provides its customers with a 3rd party warranty administrator, ABS Warranty Services. With ABS, filing a warranty request is quick and easy with its convenient on-line request system.


  • What are the Owner's Responsibilities?

    Verify Sewer Suitability: Verify the existence of sewer or suitability of soil for a septic system. City/County Health Dept. or Building Inspection office can guide you through this process. A copy of the health permit will be needed at the time of building permit application.

    Set Up Plot Plan: Contact surveyor to develop plot plan. Keystone will give you a footprint of your home to present to your surveyor who will create a plot plan locating the home on your lot. This plot plan will be needed at the time of building permit application.

    Apply For Building Permit: Apply for building permit. Keystone will supply construction drawings for home and surveyor will provide plot plan. If you need a driveway permit, apply at this time. Health permit, if necessary, will need to be submitted with application.

    Site Preparation: Lot must be cleared with positive drainage and any required erosion control in place. The house site, septic area, if applicable, and driveway should be free of any and all debris. Temporary construction driveway must be in place and provide mud free access to the construction site. Drain field, if applicable, must be clearly marked.

    Delivery of Documents: Any remaining contract documents must be given to your Sales Agent. Funding Agreement, Approved Construction Drawings and all permits, Plot Plan, Certificate of Insurance as well as written directions to the property.

    Set Up Water and Electricity: 1 temporary hose bib connected to public water or private well must be installed. Temporary electric service shall be installed by an electrician and an account set up in your name at the power company.

    Construction Staking: Surveyor must stake house corners for footing purposes. Canady Builders, Inc. will coordinate with your surveyor for foundation points after footing installation and instruct surveyor to buill you accordingly.

    Dumpster Delivery and Trash Removal: Trash handling issues and Porta Johns must be resolved and available at the commencement of construction.

    Septic System Setup: Septic System may be installed at anytime between the lot clearing and grading/landscaping activities and does not interfere with Canady building process.

    Driveway Setup: Driveways, sidewalks, and landscaping activities occur after home is completed by Canady Builders, Inc.
